#0 The impulse blog – breaking the structure

Picture this, you’re new to blogging, and you’re trying to start somewhere, but every website and every YouTube video you watch rambles on and on about the rules of blogging, how planning is paramount and how structure is key.
They tell you to identify your audience, define your niche and plan the whole of your blog and blah blah.
But our brains don’t work that way, do they?

Organic thoughts are formed differently, or at least impulsive thoughts are.
More often than not, they’re random, natural and unruly, so why can’t blogs be the same?

Well, that’s exactly what this series will be like(hopefully). I’m going to write down my raw, organic train of thought straight from my brain the moment they strike. They might be super long blogs with 1000s of words, or they might even be super brief; it all depends on what decides to spawn in my brain.
In fact, this very introductory piece to the story is proof of my statement, for this blog was neither structured nor planned out, which is evident.

What’s the inspiration?

This blog is essentially an embodiment of those random 3 am thoughts when your brain decides to fight against your urge to sleep, or the burst of clarity after that morning jog, or an intense gym session that momentarily changes your life’s perspective to make you feel on top of the world, or it might even just stem from those random arguments and ideologies I come up with in my mind 3 hours after a conversation with someone I disagreed with.

Why should you read?

Well… you don’t have to, if you don’t want to.
Unless you want to read articles ranging from obnoxiously absurd and sometimes enraging to incredibly relatable, the onus is on you.

This page to me is just a space to write down my crazy, genius or maybe just stupid thoughts – the very notion that this blog was started upon- and you get to choose whether you want to be part of the insanity, or not.
