Bangalore trip

My trip to bangalore

In the middle of the lock down im sitting here and reminiscing about my last trip out of my city and i had wanted to share this marvellous trip of mine in which i had visited bangalore. If you are a foodie just like me you will love this blog.

It all started off with a bus. It was my first adventure trip without my parents. My cousin, my brother and i had got in a bus we had booked the same week. The bus ride was comfortable, i had slept peacfully throughout the dark and silent night, the bus had noice cancelling windows so i couldnt hear the usual noises of crickets and the cawing of crowsin the gloomy night. I closed my eyes and the next time it had opened, i had reached my destination. We got of the bus at a bus station and waited for our cousins to pick us up. It was early in the morning, the wind clashed with my face, my eyes struggling to stay opened. There was something different about the place, it was cold but not too cold, it was a humid but a low temperature; i enjoyed to the maximum as i knew the next time i could feel this temperature wouldnt be too soon.

Day 1 :- We started of our morning with authentic karnataka breakfast, we had stopped at MTR, a quick-serve traditional south indian place, and ordered a chow chow bhat which is a perfect combination of sweet and spicy (chow chow bhat is some kesari and pongal, which are both tradional indian delicacies) .

For lunch we had eaten at a place called ”the fatty bao” which had was a asian cuisine restauraunt. We ordered a bao (a bao is a soft fluffy bun that is filled with meat) and we ordered a few ramen noodles. The food was quite heavy.

For dinner we ate at a small joint called ‘kahn saheb”. They served kathi rolls which are basically a wrap but are spiced up with extra chilli and other ingredients.

Day 2 :- We had homemade Breakfast today.

We had lunch at a place called Nagarjuna which is a south indian cuisine. There was so much food that it was like a feast. A few things we ordered were biryani,3 thali’s which is basically a full meal with all the side dishes( thali’s are usually really big). The food there was utterly scrumptious and when you mix the rice with all the different curries that are brought with the thali, they make perfect harmony in your mouth. Its like when ying and yang come together.

Our final meal in bangalore was one that i will never forget. We drove across the city to a small shop called siddiqi. I didn’t know what was waiting in store for me. We had bought a box of mutton kebab and some fried chicken we also tried a unique dish called Phall. The mutton kebab was perfect, it had just the right amount of spice and it was so soft, It was delicious. The mutton was also really good but it wasn’t what highlited the meal. What really brought the curiosity out of me was the phall, i had never heard about it before and i was amped up with excitement when i was about to try it. As i dropped it in my mouth i chewed on it tasting all the various spices and flavours that were present and then i realise how succulent and palatable the piece of meat was, after relishing the dish i was bewildered on how tasty the piece of meat was.

That is how my trip to bangalore had finished off. The trip back home was gruelling and i was exhausted by the time i had reached home.
