We are only a speck in the grand scheme of the universe, the universe is made of trillions and trillions of galaxy. However each galaxy is only just a speck. What if all the specks were to disappear? It is true that we are only a speck, but if you think about it the universe is made up of these specks, without us specks the universe is hollow. Think about it an object is made up of billions of atoms, but if all those atoms cease to exist, the object would be no more. Although we are trivial we still matter, at least in our solar system.
Extra terrestrial life
What if other forms of life were to exist out there? would they be the size of a bacteria or the size of a human or a shape and size that we have never seen before. What if alien life was a dimension that we had never experienced before. Aliens could be existing right in front of us but in another form. What if they lived here but on a different dimension, or in a state of matter that has not been found out about yet.
The kardashev scale is a brilliant way of classifying the numerous stages of organisms. It classifies living beings into three different types. The scale consists of Type 1,2 and 3. We earthlings are currently Type 1 civilizations meaning we are able to harness the energy that is given to our planet. If we are talking about accuracy we are near 0.75 to 0.80 instead of 1. Scientists predict we may become Type 1 in a few years.
Type 2 civilizations are able to harness power from their parent star and other planets. This requires a lot of technology and further explorations in science for this to be achieved. Estimates show that humans are 100’s of years away from this
Type 3 on the other hand sound very extreme. It is said that they are able to harness the power of their entire host galaxy. To me this sounds almost as science fiction for us at this stage. I feel that this would require a whole new level of science and almost something that is incomprehensible to us now.
Parallel universe
To me this doesn’t sound fully plausible. The whole idea emphasizes on there being different realities, meaning every little choice we make leads up to different results. For example a universe parallel to this would exist where this blog had never been written. So this means that there are probably infinite parallel universes as every little choice that is made leads up to a completely different result. It is often called as a “multiverse”.
what happens to us once we leave this world
After we have died, where does our soul reach. Does it watch over the rest of us for centuries to come. Or does it reach a place, sort of like a paradise where you can have anything you want, our what if it just simply doesn’t exist anymore. Lets say our soul rests here, it would just be living for millennium doing nothing, waiting for nothing, just existing for something we still don’t know. Or what if we were to be take form in a new body. What if your become an animal. Imagine just living forever being able to do nothing other than watching over to world, insanity would probably get the best of me if this would occur to me. I think of it as a bored game, when its over what happens, does everything restart after a point of time or do we just pack it up and never know or see anything again.
Singularity
From what i understand singularity is the point where human technologies and development becomes irreversible to a point were we restart, we go back to being cavemen, or when technology surpasses us. A lot of people have the fear that AI would be able to surpass humans. People believe that at one point the AI will rule over the world. However for this to happen AI need to have the ability to feel emotions. For example AI need the emotion of Greed to know and have everything in the world or to rule the world, curiosity would also be needed. The main reason humanity has developed this much is because of curiosity. However these emotions can be programmed to AI but unlike humans i don’t think they will have the ability to learn from experiences or understand emotions to a point where they itself are moved by it. People say the burst of intelligence to human life would cause singularity, but what if that burst of intelligence would leave humans in a sense of shock making them forget everything up until now, completely rebooting their minds.
Nikhil! Wonderful blog site and your blogs are so diverse in topics; love it! This blog on universe fascinated me with how much you know. I really like the “speck” analogy and how the Speck matters. Great work and keep this going 🙂
